Paired passages make it easy to find the same moment in both languages. Notes appear after the story, so readers can remain inside its emotional world before turning to language study.

About the Author
Lynn Zheng was born in Hefei, China, and worked in architectural design after university. She moved to the United States with her husband in 1988. Her stories grow from a long attention to the emotional lives of Chinese families in America.
Lynn now lives with her husband in Spain, where she continues to read, write, garden, and reflect on the meanings of home, migration, and belonging.
